19 Reasons Why 2019 Was “The Best”

The year 2019 was “The Best” year at Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club for so many reasons. In celebration of the new year, let’s reflect back on 19 reasons why this past year was so very successful and special to us all.

  1. We’re Full! Equity and social memberships reached their full capacity for the first time in years.
  2. Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club named “Best Golf Club” by Visit South Walton
  3. Vue on 30a named “Best Place to Pop the Question” by Destin Magazine
  4. Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club Celebrated its 50 Year Anniversary
  5. New Course Coming 2021 – The club was able to announce this year some big plans coming up with its multi-million-dollar course renovation
  6. Thrillist in NYC thought we stood out among all Florida Restaurants in their story: 10 Oceanfront Brunch Spots That Should Be on Your Florida Bucket List 
  7. Emerald Coast Magazine surprised us with this wonderful 2-page spread – SRGBC Swings Into 50 Years (page 36-37) 
  8. Our friends at Destin Magazine helped spread the news of our 50-year anniversary and year of celebrations. Click here to read the article. 
  9. NEW Short Game Practice Facility Opened – what a wonderful celebration with our membership!
  10. Northwest Florida Daily News Sports Reporter, Nathan Cobb, came to visit us for the day and learn more about our short game facility. Click here to read the article.
  11. Members raised $7,500 for veterans and the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast located on Eglin AFB during their annual Flag Day Fundraising Event
  12. AL.com recommended Vue on 30a to their Alabama readership of more than 10.4 million in their article: The Ultimate Guide to 6 Charming 30A Beach Towns
  13. New Faces – We welcomed Kaitlin Hardy our new member relations coordinator, Isley Whyte as our new executive chef and Laura Jansone as our new assistant golf professional. We look forward to welcoming Anna Parish, our new private event director this month and wish Becca Curtis all the best as she settles in to her new role as a full-time mom to a beautiful little girl.
  14. We established a fresh, new look for Vue on 30a’s website which will go live in early 2020.
  15. All things new at Vue – Vue’s ads received an updating branding that compliments the new website, which you will begin to see in 2020.
  16. EVENT SOLD OUT! Kudos to our golf operations team and our social committee for a job well done. With all the growth and buzz, its no wonder that the club’s social events and golf tournaments have begun to sell out this year. Register for social and golf events at least two weeks in advance so you aren’t left out of the fun! The easiest way to register is through our new club app which also launched this year.
  17. New commercial spots are live. We had a fun time re-shooting our commercial spots this fall which run locally for the golf club and for Vue on 30a. Thank you to members, Blake & Sarah Svoboda and Lee & Kate Owen for helping us share with others the fun club life at Santa Rosa.
  18. Operation Lipstick and Moonlight Wine & Dine – need we say any more? The teamwork, the food, the weather – the evening could not have been more perfect and the members raised more than $25,000 toward upgrades to the golf clubhouse. Stay tuned for more amazing events from your Operation Lipstick Steering Committee in 2020.
  19. The “Best” is getting Better – we also launched our 2020 branding for the golf club
