Santa Rosa Re-Build Golf Tournament
Rebuilding the homes and lives of SRGBC Employees Directly Affected by Hurricane Michael
Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club and its Board of Directors announced the Santa Rosa Re-Build Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday, October 27 at 9 a.m.
The charity golf tournament is committed to raising funds for its employees directly impacted by Hurricane Michael.
The category 4 hurricane was one of the strongest storms to make landfall in the continental US since 1992 and the strongest hurricane on record to have made landfall in the Florida panhandle.
The tournament is open to club members and those in the local community who wish to support the cause. Registration fee is $50 per person. The club will take tee times for club members and their guests first and then open up any remaining team spots to the local community a few days before the tournament.
For members who are unable to attend, but would like to donate, the club will be accepting donations with 100% of registration fees and donations to directly help club employees.
Traditionally, the club and its employees host an appreciation tournament for its members in November offering complimentary golf, food and drinks. However, not this year.
“After banding together with members and seeing the immediate need at our back doorstep, we felt compelled to make a shift,” said Bob Baird, president for Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club.
“It’s our turn to give back to our employees in their time of need. In coordination with our management team, we decided the funds originally earmarked for our member tournament will now go to support our employees,” added Baird.
