DESCRIPTION: Complete a variety of aerobic and resistance exercises at different “zones” in the pool and when the whistle blows, off to the next zone your group will go. This fast-paced class will emphasize movement in all joints and is appropriate for all fitness levels.

Held in the West Wing of Vue on 30a, Book Club is a Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club members only club. For more information on Santa Rosa membership, contact Sarah Brazwell at sarah@santarosaclub.com.

Unlike many book clubs, at Santa Rosa’s Book Club, each person reads books of their own choosing and then provides a short report to the group.  Some members read library books, others read on electronic devices, and many read hardcover or paperback books.  Available books are shared with others from month to month until they have completed circulation among the group. Once read by all who desire, books are returned to the owner (if desired) or are donated to our local library. Even if you haven’t read a book, please join us as you may just discover THAT BOOK you can’t put down! RSVP is not required to attend.

JAVA JOGGERS (JJ) **formerly Team Aqua Runners**

DESCRIPTION:  Running, bicycling, and other resistance movements in the water are utilized to build muscle & core strength.  Increase aerobic conditioning and improve your flexibility without strain on the joints & skeletal system.  You can move to the beat of the music or slow your movement down to the double beat.  Either way, you will have a fabulous cardio workout.

BELLES WITH BELLS (BB)
TIME:  8:30 – 9:00

DESCRIPTION:  Using water resistance weights, this workout will strengthen and tone upper body, core and arms with a focus on biceps and triceps.  Performing a variety of exercises with “bells” just as you would with weights out of water, the bells are also used for exercises that include squats, lunges, planks and floating both prone and supine.  This class is not recommended for people with shoulder issues.

SUN SALUTATION (SS)

DESCRIPTION:  On the beach below Vue, spend 45 minutes engaged in a continuous flowing sequence designed to improve strength and flexibility of the muscle groups.  Let the inhales lift you & exhales ground you in the gorgeous setting.  No prior Yoga experience required but this is considered an intermediate level class.   In Kelli’s absence, Barbie will lead an alternate exercise class on the beach.

NEKDOODLE® FITNESS(NF)

DESCRIPTION:  The Nekdoodle® will be used for flotation, as a kickboard, & to support the neck during abdominal exercises.  The Nekdoodle® also provides resistance & will be used for seated, standing & vertical exercises.  Build muscle tone, burn calories and improve balance & core strength as you are guided through a variety of exercises.

DESCRIPTION:  Using water resistance weights, this workout will strengthen and tone upper body, core and arms with a focus on biceps and triceps.  Performing a variety of exercises with “bells” just as you would with weights out of water, the bells are also used for exercises that include squats, lunges, planks and floating both prone and supine.  This class is not recommended for people with shoulder issues.

BELLES WITH BELLS (BB)

DESCRIPTION:  Using water resistance weights, this workout will strengthen and tone upper body, core and arms with a focus on biceps and triceps.  Performing a variety of exercises with “bells” just as you would with weights out of water, the bells are also used for exercises that include squats, lunges, planks and floating both prone and supine.  This class is not recommended for people with shoulder issues.

THE HISTORY, NATURE, WINERY & DINERY TOUR

Please join us on Thursday, March 23rd as we take a chartered bus tour to enjoy the following:

– 9:00 a.m. (SHARP!) Bus departs from the Clubhouse (MULLIGANS) for Marianna.
– 10:30 a.m. Arrive in Marianna where we will be joined by historian Kristi Andreason who will take us on a tour of the Joseph W. Russ House built from 1892-1895 & we will view a short film on the Battle of Marianna. Russ House now serves as the Washington County Visitors Center. Kristi will then provide us with a personal tour of the Davis-West House, built in the 1840s & listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
– 12:30 p.m. Light Lunch/Snack stop at The Gazebo Café in Marianna. (cost on-your-own)
– 1:15 p.m. Depart for Chipley
– 1:45 p.m. Arrive at the 171 acre Falling Water State Park in Chipley where we will explore the park’s natural beauty including a 73’ waterfall, the highest in the State of Florida.
– 2:45 p.m. Depart for Vernon
– 3:10 p.m. Arrive at Three Oaks Winery in Vernon for a free wine tasting and tour of this family-owned business that produces wines from their own line of grapes including Conquistador and Muscadine. Three Oaks features a low alcohol Chardonnay & Merlot. They also produce a Port.
– 4:00 p.m. Depart for Panama City Beach
– 5:00 p.m. Arrive at Firefly Restaurant in Panama City Beach where we will take advantage of the Sunset Dinner Special in their private dining room. (the Special is $14.95 and cost is on-your-own)

DESCRIPTION:  Using water resistance weights, this workout will strengthen and tone upper body, core and arms with a focus on biceps and triceps.  Performing a variety of exercises with “bells” just as you would with weights out of water, the bells are also used for exercises that include squats, lunges, planks and floating both prone and supine.  This class is not recommended for people with shoulder issues.
